Here are some before and after photos of wheat and corn stubble and
straw residue control using a Martens harrow.
This was standing wheat that was never harvested in the 2007 season. The
weeds had been sprayed several weeks before. It was harrowed
mid-August on a 100 degree day with a Martens flex harrow.

Here's a different field, different farmer that had standing
wheat. Same results.
This was harvested wheat stubble. It
was harrowed mid-August on a 95
degree day with a 16 bar harrow.

After
This is corn stubble. It was lightly disced pulling a harrow behind the disc. It
was late September on a 80 degree day with a Martens flex harrow. The
harrow did the best job after the dew had lifted and the stalks dried a bit.
